Going Through Adversity

Its funny how I bought this book and left it 1 year before I opened it (laziness of course!) 18 months ago I made a collection of horrendous mistakes of resigning from my work before signing a contract with another firm I was in negotiations with for them to pull the role. While doing so, rushing into inserting money into a business that wasnt for me and has subsequently failed. Distraught would be an understatement. I went through a...

My plan was to ask my lawyer to stop the procedure and to accept from me a payment that would cover the work he had done so far. When my lawyer said that this was impossible, and that we had to proceed, I lost my self-control, got angry and said some things that I very quickly regretted. A few moments after the...

After a year or two we had to put supporting poles under its branches so they wouldn't break under the heavy load of the persimmons. One day a friend came over and took me out to...

Listen to the Signs

My experience begins at a ski trip with my long time friend. When arriving at the parking lot of the mountain my friend decided to ask the people leaving for their lift tickets instead of buying it from mountain management. After a few unsuccessful tries, he told me it's my turn to ask people to get their lift tickets. I already had a season pass so I didn't need it myself and even though I thought that this was not an ethical act (it is...
